President explains strategy to secure Palestinian independence through the Board of Peace

The Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto explained the reasons for Indonesia’s membership of the Board of Peace (BOP) during an iftar gathering with religious scholars and Islamic organisations at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, on Thursday, 5 March. The decision, according to Muhadjir Effendy, chairman of Muhammadiyah’s Central Leadership Council (PP Muhammadiyah), has undergone a long process and remains anchored in Indonesia’s commitment to promoting Palestinian independence through a two-state solution.
