President distributes zakat at State Palace

Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto handed over zakat to the National Zakat Collection Board (Baznas) at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday afternoon.

The zakat distribution was also attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, and heads of state institutions.

Prabowo arrived at the designated room to make his zakat payment at 16:10 Western Indonesian Time. The President proceeded directly to the prepared table.

The payment was received directly by Baznas officers.

Prior to this, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka had distributed his zakat at 16:00 Western Indonesian Time.

Several ministers and institutional heads who attended and contributed zakat included the Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, and the Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Correctional Affairs Yusril Ihza Mahendra.

Also present were the Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, the Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir, the Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, the Minister of Transmigration Iftitah Sulaiman, the Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, the Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni, the Minister of Religious Affairs Nazaruddin Umar, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, the Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Yuliot Tanjung, and Deputy Minister of Environment Diaz Hendropriyono.

After distributing zakat, the President proceeded with his agenda by chairing a Full Cabinet Meeting to discuss government preparations for Eid al-Fitr 2026 and the progress of disaster management in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
