President Distributes 1,098 Sacrificial Cattle and Travels to Paris
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Various political news was reported by ANTARA news agency on Tuesday (26/5), from President Prabowo Subianto distributing 1,098 sacrificial cattle for the occasion of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah to his visit to Paris, France.
President Prabowo Subianto distributed 1,098 sacrificial cattle for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah, all sourced from local breeders and consisting of premium breeds weighing over 800 kilograms to 1.3 tonnes. Deputy State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro stated the types of sacrificial cattle provided by the President included Simmental, Limousin, Peranakan Ongole, Brahman, Angus, Bali cattle, FH, Belgian Blue, and Charolais. “All cattle sources are from local breeders, and this occasion is expected to motivate them to improve productivity and quality,” Juri said in a press statement at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta.
President Prabowo Subianto distributed 1,098 sacrificial cattle for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah across 552 regions, educational institutions, Islamic boarding schools, social organisations, community leaders, and religious figures throughout Indonesia. Deputy State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro, in a press statement at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta, said 598 cattle were distributed to 38 provinces and 514 regencies/cities, while 500 cattle were given to institutions and community leaders. “On Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah, the President has agreed to distribute 1,098 sacrificial cattle to all provinces, regencies, and cities. A total of 552 regions, comprising 38 provinces and 514 regencies/cities, will receive 598 cattle for provincial and regency/city governments,” he added.
The Ministry of Defence stated that the construction of a C-130 Hercules maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at Kertajati Airport in Majalengka Regency, West Java, is still in the planning stage. This confirms there is no set timeline for when construction will begin. “The government is currently in the planning and concept refinement phase for developing the national aerospace ecosystem in the Kertajati area, including the phased development of MRO facilities for both commercial and military needs,” said Chief of the Defence Information Bureau at the Ministry of Defence’s Secretariat, Brigadier General TNI Rico Ricardo Sirait.

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to perform Eid al-Adha prayers and hold a gathering with Indonesian nationals at the embassy residence in Paris, according to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. “President Prabowo is scheduled to perform Eid al-Adha prayers and meet with Indonesians at the embassy residence in Paris,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy in a written statement received in Jakarta.
