President dances "Tabola Bale" with locals in Miangas
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto danced with the local community to the tune of “Tabola Bale” on Miangas Island in the Talaud Islands, North Sulawesi, during his visit on Saturday.
In an online broadcast followed from Jakarta on Saturday, President Prabowo Subianto was seen inspecting the site of SMK Negeri 2 Talaud to chat with students and residents on Indonesia’s northernmost island.
After greeting the community and announcing several facility improvements that have been and will be carried out on the island, the President showed his rapport by singing several songs with the residents, from the song “Hyme Guru” to the native North Sulawesi tune “O Ina Ni Keke”.
The President raised his hands and joined the midst of the community to dance to “Tabola Bale” before concluding the visit at the location with a group photo.
On that occasion, he introduced several members of the Merah Putih Cabinet who accompanied him, including Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Communications and Digital Meutya Hafid, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo.
President Prabowo arrived in Miangas after departing from Cebu, Philippines, on Saturday around 09:45 WIB following his attendance at the 48th ASEAN Summit on 7-8 May 2026.
In Miangas, President Prabowo was scheduled to meet with the community and inspect the facilities of a puskesmas on one of the outermost islands of the nation.
