President arrives in Russia to strengthen partnership amid global dynamics

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto arrived at Vnukovo-2 Airport in Moscow, Russian Federation, on Monday (13/4) at 07.45 local time, to carry out a working visit to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. According to an official statement received in Jakarta on Monday, the Head of State’s visit marks Indonesia’s commitment to continuously strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing strategic cooperation with Russia. Upon descending the aircraft steps, the President’s arrival was welcomed by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko, Director of the State Protocol Department Igor Bogdashev, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Russian Federation Jose Tavares, and Indonesian Defence Attaché in Moscow Air Vice Marshal TNI Budi Susilo. The visit also reflects Indonesia’s active diplomatic efforts in building mutually beneficial partnerships with friendly nations. The Indonesian government views Russia as an important partner in supporting global economic stability and growth. Previously, the Head of State, along with a limited entourage, departed from TNI AU Halim Perdanakusuma Base in Jakarta on Sunday (12/4) at 23.10 WIB. Accompanying President Prabowo on the flight to Russia were Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. This diplomatic step reaffirms Indonesia’s commitment to remaining active, constructive, and oriented towards national interests on the global stage.
