President and Vice President Arrive at 80th Bhayangkara Day Ceremony

President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka arrived at the Brimob Police training facility in Cikeas, Bogor Regency, West Java, at 7.56 a.m. Western Indonesian Time on Wednesday to lead the peak commemoration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day. The President and Vice President were welcomed by an honour guard and proceeded to the main dais. President Prabowo greeted several invited guests, including the 7th President Joko Widodo, Sinta Nuriyah Wahid, the wife of the 4th President Abdurrahman Wahid, House Speaker Puan Maharani, and Chairman of the National Economic Council Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. Acting as the inspecting officer, the President moved to the ceremonial podium to lead the proceedings, which began with a report from the parade commander and a troop inspection. The choice of the Brimob training facility in Cikeas was described as a representation of the police force’s openness to the public regarding the education and character-building process of its personnel. The ceremony involved approximately 9,000 participants from the Indonesian National Police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces, and various community elements, featuring a parade, the awarding of honours, demonstrations, a march-past, and a thanksgiving event.
