President Accepts Resignation of BI Governor Perry Warjiyo

Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo has resigned from his position. The letter of resignation was submitted to President Prabowo Subianto yesterday.

“As of yesterday, we officially received a letter of resignation from the Governor of Bank Indonesia to the President,” said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi at the BI Building in Central Jakarta on Monday.

Pras said Prabowo has accepted the resignation letter. On the same occasion, Prabowo expressed his gratitude for Warjiyo’s dedication and contribution over nearly seven years.

“In accordance with the applicable mechanisms and laws and regulations, especially with reference to the Bank Indonesia law,” he stated.

“The President has accepted the resignation of Mr Perry Warjiyo, accompanied by the highest gratitude and appreciation for his dedication over nearly seven years of leading Bank Indonesia,” Pras continued.
