Preserving Religious Tolerance: Wihara Dharma Bakti Shares Iftar Meals
Wihara Dharma Bakti in Jakarta distributed hundreds of iftar meal portions to Muslims and local residents on Monday (23/2/2026) as a display of inter-religious tolerance during the month of Ramadan.
Organisers at the Buddhist temple prepared the meals before distributing them to members of the public. Children and adults alike were seen collecting food for breaking the fast at the temple premises.
The initiative, which runs throughout Ramadan, serves as a tangible expression of harmony between religious communities, with the Buddhist temple providing sustenance for its Muslim neighbours and the wider community during the Islamic holy month of fasting.
