Presence of Prabowo and Public Works Minister Greeted with Emotion by Aceh Tamiang Residents

Public Works Minister of the Republic of Indonesia, Dody Hanggodo, accompanied President Prabowo Subianto in performing Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah prayers at Masjid Darussalam in Aceh Tamiang. Dody also approached the congregation and greeted the residents. According to detikcom observations on Saturday (21/3/2026), the Public Works Minister wore a koko shirt and peci. Dody consistently accompanied Prabowo during the Eid prayer and greeted the people of Aceh Tamiang. The arrival of Minister Dody also brought blessings to Aceh Tamiang, as temporary housing (huntara) has already been occupied by residents affected by the flood disaster. Residents also expressed gratitude for being able to stay in the huntara. One resident, Reno, said the arrival of the President along with the Public Works Minister brings new hope. He also hopes that permanent housing will be completed soon. “We are very happy and delighted with the arrival of the President and the Public Works Minister. It means they want to be with us here and see our suffering,” he stated. In addition, Reno said that for now, the temporary housing is quite comfortable and allows them to celebrate Lebaran with their families. “Even though we were hit by the disaster last time, we remain grateful because the government through the Ministry of Public Works has provided temporary housing. We are still grateful for that housing,” he explained. Meanwhile, Hengky appreciated the arrival of Prabowo and the Public Works Minister. He assessed that government officials did not come merely to perform Eid prayers in Aceh Tamiang but to see the situation and conditions of the residents there. “They came not only to perform Eid prayers in Aceh Tamiang but to see our situation and conditions here,” he said.
