Preparing New Attack, Trump Boasts of Bringing Iran Back to the Stone Age

US President Donald Trump has given signals that a new attack has been planned by the United States against Iranian territory. Trump stated that the attack will take place in two to three weeks’ time. “We will strike them very hard for the next two to three weeks,” Trump said, as reported by CNN on Thursday (2/4/2026). The statement was made by Trump in his speech at the White House on Wednesday (1/4) evening. Trump claimed he will bring Iran back to the Stone Age. “We will bring them back to the Stone Age, where they should be,” he said. This is the first time Trump has used the phrase ‘back to the Stone Age’ in relation to the war with Iran. He stated that all current Iranian leaders are dead. “Regime change is not our goal. We never said regime change, but regime change has occurred because of the death of all their original leaders. They are all dead,” Trump remarked. Previously, Trump posted on Truth Social that Iran had requested a ceasefire from the United States and that he would only consider the request after Iran reopens the Strait of Hormuz. Until then, he wrote, “we will destroy Iran until nothing remains” and “back to the Stone Age!!!” The president’s statement came a day after he suggested that the US could end the war with Iran in two to three weeks.
