Preparing Future Leaders: Hanta Yudha Awards Scholarships to 516 Students from Across Indonesia
Various scholarship programmes continue to emerge in Indonesia as part of efforts to expand educational access for high-achieving children. These initiatives originate from the government, educational institutions, corporations, and individuals seeking to contribute to the improvement of future human resource quality.
Beyond merely easing educational costs, several scholarship programmes are beginning to integrate character building, leadership training, and competency development. This approach is expected to produce graduates who are not only academically superior but also possess integrity and leadership capabilities.
Many students from various regions across Indonesia can now obtain full education without the burden of fees until the completion of their studies. One such initiative is the Arroygan-HYR Character Boarding School (ACBS), supported by the HYR Scholarship. A total of 516 students from various parts of Indonesia have received full scholarships covering all educational expenses until graduation. This scholarship programme was initiated by Hanta Yuda Rasyid.
According to Hanta, this leadership school was established as a form of contribution to prepare a young generation possessing both academic ability and leadership character.
“I have dedicated ACBS to our beloved Indonesia. It serves as a crucible to prepare future leaders, equipped with excellent academic reputations and strong leadership character,” he stated.
The value of the scholarship reaches IDR 168,900,000 per student for the first cohort of the 2025/2026 to 2026/2027 academic year. Meanwhile, for the second cohort, the benefit value provided is IDR 84,450,000 per student.
All scholarship recipients hail from various regions in Indonesia, ranging from Aceh to Papua. They have undergone a selection process and are expected to develop their academic and leadership potential during their education.
In addition to focusing on academic achievement, the programme also emphasises character formation as part of the learning process. The hope is that graduates will eventually be able to contribute to various professional fields according to their competencies.
He believes that human resource development through education is a long-term investment whose results will be felt in the coming decades.
“I hope that my dream for 10 to 30 years from now is that this nation will be led by alumni of the Arroyyan-HYR Character Boarding School,” he added.
