Jakarta, VIVA – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is preparing cash amounting to Rp65.7 trillion for the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period in 2026 to meet customers’ transaction needs. In addition to ensuring cash availability, BCA is preparing a UPK (Uang Pecahan Kecil) exchange service for the Ramadan to Eid al-Fitr period. Customers can exchange UPK at BCA branches nationwide, subject to branch availability.

‘At the same time, BCA continues to strengthen digital services to serve all customers,’ said President Director Hendra Lembong in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, 4 March 2026.

He explained that for UPK exchanges, the cash provided comprises Uang Layak Edar (ULE) and new notes where available. BCA has also lined up nearly 150 branches across Indonesia to serve UPK exchanges through the Bank Indonesia-owned PINTAR site registration mechanism.

The procedure for exchanges via PINTAR is as follows:

  1. Register and place an order in advance via the PINTAR application https://pintar.bi.go.id. The UPK exchange period runs according to the schedule determined for each BCA branch.

  2. Exchanges can only be carried out up to the allocated quota at the designated BCA branches.

  3. After obtaining an exchange allocation at the chosen BCA branch on the PINTAR website, customers can visit the branch at the scheduled time to complete the exchange.

  4. At the time of exchange, customers and the public must bring proof of exchange (hardcopy/softcopy) and the original KTP in accordance with the name on the exchange proof.

‘Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr generally represent a significant money-circulation moment in Indonesia, in line with increased public needs such as shopping, social activities, and homeward travel,’ said Hendra.

‘BCA is committed to providing high-quality banking services, including ensuring cash availability. We are committed to assisting customers and the public in meeting their needs during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, as well as contributing positively to Indonesia’s economic growth,’ he added.

In addition to physical services, BCA also optimises its digital channels that are available 24 hours a day, such as the myBCA app, BCA mobile, internet banking (KlikBCA), and BCA ATMs across various locations. To ensure transaction convenience, BCA provides various communication channels that can be easily accessed.
