The South Jakarta District Court (PN) has scheduled the first pre-trial hearing for KMRT Roy Suryo Notodiprojo, challenging his designation as a suspect by Polda Metro Jaya, for today, Friday (10/7).

“At nine in the morning,” said Halida Rahardhini, spokesperson for the South Jakarta District Court, when contacted via written message on Thursday evening (9/7).

Roy Suryo filed the petition on Thursday, 2 July 2026, and it was registered under case number 108/Pid.Pra/2026/PN JKT.SEL.

The first respondent is the Chief of Polda Metro Jaya, represented by the Director of General Criminal Investigation, the Head of the National Security Sub-Directorate, and the investigative team.

The second respondent is the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office, represented by the Assistant for General Crimes, the South Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office, and the team of public prosecutors.

Roy Suryo has just won a pre-trial hearing regarding the search, arrest and detention carried out against him by Polda Metro Jaya.

Single judge at the South Jakarta District Court, I Ketut Darpawan, ruled that these coercive measures were formally defective and must therefore be declared legally invalid.

“Ruling: one, granting the Petitioner’s request in part,” the judge said when reading out the verdict on Tuesday (7/7).

Regarding the detention, the judge held that the actions taken by Polda Metro Jaya did not meet the subjective requirements and should rightly be declared invalid.

Nevertheless, the judge stressed that although the search, arrest and detention were formally flawed, this did not automatically render the entire investigative case file invalid.

In the same ruling, the judge also rejected Roy’s petition for the restoration of his honour and dignity to their original state.
