Meaning: I intend to perform the obligatory Fajr prayer of two rak’ahs facing the qiblah as a follower/imam for Allah Almighty.
- Intention for Dhuhr Prayer
Ushalli fardhol dzuhri arba’a rakatain mustaqhbilal kiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala
Meaning: I intend to perform the obligatory Dhuhr prayer of four rak’ahs facing the qiblah as a follower/imam for Allah Almighty.
- Intention for Asr Prayer
Ushalli fardhol ashri arba’a rak’ataini mustaqbilal qiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala
Meaning: I intend to perform the obligatory Asr prayer of four rak’ahs facing the qiblah as a follower/imam for Allah Almighty.

Usholli fardhol maghribi tsalasa rak’ataini mustaqbilal kiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala
Meaning: I intend to perform the obligatory Maghrib prayer of three rak’ahs facing the qiblah as a follower/imam for Allah Almighty.
- Intention for Isha Prayer
Ushalli fardhol ’isya’i arba’a rak’ataini mustaqbilal qiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala
Meaning: I intend to perform the obligatory Isha prayer of four rak’ahs facing the qiblah as a follower/imam for Allah Almighty.
Note: When praying alone, use ‘adaan’; as a follower, use ‘ma’muman’; and as an imam, use ‘imaaman’.
