Muslims living in Denpasar and its surroundings need not worry about prayer times. The Directorate General of Islamic Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs has released the prayer schedule for various areas today.
The schedule covers the times for the obligatory prayers of Subuh (Dawn), Zuhur (Midday), Asar (Afternoon), Maghrib (Sunset) and Isya (Evening). Knowing the prayer schedule is essential for Muslims as a reminder not to miss the appointed times of prayer.

- Intention for the Subuh Prayer
Ushalli fardhol subhi rak’ataini mustaqbilal kiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala
Meaning: I intend to perform the obligatory Subuh prayer of two rakaat, facing the qibla, as a follower/imam, for the sake of Allah Ta’ala.
- Intention for the Zuhur Prayer
Ushalli fardhol dzuhri arba’a rakatain mustaqbilal kiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala
Meaning: I intend to perform the obligatory Zuhur prayer of four rakaat, facing the qibla, as a follower/imam, for the sake of Allah Ta’ala.
- Intention for the Asar Prayer
Ushalli fardhol ashri arba’a rak’ataini mustaqbilal qiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala
Meaning: I intend to perform the obligatory Asar prayer of four rakaat, facing the qibla, as a follower/imam, for the sake of Allah Ta’ala.
- Intention for the Maghrib Prayer
Usholli fardhol maghribi tsalasa rak’ataini mustaqbilal kiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala
Meaning: I intend to perform the obligatory Maghrib prayer of three rakaat, facing the qibla, as a follower/imam, for the sake of Allah Ta’ala.
- Intention for the Isya Prayer
Ushalli fardhol ’isya’i arba’a rak’ataini mustaqbilal kiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala
Meaning: I intend to perform the obligatory Isya prayer of four rakaat, facing the qibla, as a follower/imam, for the sake of Allah Ta’ala.
Notes:
When praying alone, use the recitation ada-an
When praying as a follower (makmum), use the recitation ma’muman.
