Pratikno, Hatta Rajasa Named to Lead Prabowo’s Advisory Council

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Pratikno as chairperson and Hatta Rajasa as deputy chairperson of Indonesia’s Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres), along with 24 other members, at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday.

The newly appointed members took an oath of office, pledging allegiance to the 1945 Constitution and to uphold Indonesia’s laws in carrying out their duties.

“I swear by Almighty God that I will remain loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and faithfully uphold all laws and regulations in carrying out my duties in service to the nation and state,” the members said in the oath.

They also pledged to uphold professional ethics and perform their duties to the best of their abilities with a full sense of responsibility.

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree No. 107/P on the appointment of members of the Presidential Advisory Council.

In addition to Pratikno and Hatta Rajasa, the newly appointed Wantimpres members are Shinta Nuriyah Wahid, Muhammad Quraish Shihab, Bambang Soesatyo, Agum Gumelar, Budi Gunawan, Chairul Tanjung, Salim Segaf Aljufri, Anwar Iskandar, Said Aqil Siradj, Yahya Cholil Staquf, Philip Kuncoro Wijaya, Budi Tanuwibowo, Ida Bagus Purwalaksana, Soekarwo, Jusuf Hamka, Dato’ Sri Tahir, Yusuf Wanandi, Margarito, Rocky Gerung, Mohamad Hatta, Anwar Usman, Mohammad Hatta, and Ignatius Jonan.

Muhammad Qodari was also appointed as secretary and member of the council.

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming attended the inauguration, along with Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Sugiono, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, and State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi.

Also in attendance were Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.
