Prasetiya Mulya University officially unveiled Prasmul New Look at an event titled ‘Reinventing Collaborative Learning in New Look’ on Saturday, 23 May 2026 at its BSD Campus. Beyond a mere campus facelift, this milestone marks Prasmul’s transformation of its education ecosystem to deliver more vibrant, collaborative, and future-relevant learning experiences, while reaffirming its commitment to nation-building through the emergence of future leaders.

The event was attended by the Board of Advisors, university leadership, corporate partners, international academics, students, alumni, and industry representatives. The presence of diverse stakeholders reflects the belief that higher education must evolve as a space for the convergence of ideas, values, practices, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Through Prasmul New Look, Prasetiya Mulya University reinforced its commitment to building a learning ecosystem that fosters creativity, exploration, innovation, and global connectivity as the foundation for developing adaptable, principled, and globally competitive talent.

The opening ceremony was vibrant, featuring a performance of the Manuk Dadali dance by Sasikirana Dance, symbolising collaboration, Indonesia’s cultural diversity, and optimism for a more progressive and global future in education. The performance also served as a reminder that educational transformation extends beyond physical or technological updates—it encompasses how institutions integrate values, culture, and identity into their journey toward the future.

Prasetiya Mulya University’s Chairman of the Board of Executives, Djisman Simandjuntak, stressed that universities must become more adaptive amid rapid technological transformation and a swiftly changing global landscape. He stated that educational institutions must do more than produce academically excellent graduates—they must cultivate creative, adaptable, collaborative individuals with the courage to drive change.

‘The world is changing faster than ever before. Therefore, universities must continuously evolve—not just to produce competent graduates, but individuals who can contribute meaningfully to their nation’s future. Prasmul New Look reflects our commitment to building a learning ecosystem more relevant to the challenges of our time,’ Djisman was quoted as saying on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.

Meanwhile, Prasetiya Mulya University’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Franky Oesman Widjaya, emphasised that this transformation is part of Prasmul’s broader vision to build future education integrated with technological advancements and global industry needs. He stated that Prasmul’s transformation is not merely a physical campus overhaul but a shift in mindset and learning experiences.

‘Future education is not just about adopting technology, but about how institutions create meaningful learning experiences through collaboration, creativity, and global connectivity. We want Prasmul to be a space where future leaders with a global perspective, integrity, and social concern emerge,’ Franky said.

The transformation’s significance was reinforced by a before-and-after facade transformation video showcasing the university’s campus changes as a symbol of a modern, dynamic, human-centred, and future-ready learning environment. However, the physical changes merely signify a deeper transformation: a shift in how the campus is perceived—not just as a place of learning, but as a living ecosystem where ideas flourish, dialogue occurs, and interdisciplinary collaboration yields tangible impact.

Prasetiya Mulya University’s Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of Executives, Edwind A. Satyabrata, explained that the New Facade concept represents a new philosophy of future learning that is more open, collaborative, and innovation-driven. Campuses, he said, must be spaces that foster creativity, idea exploration, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

‘The New Facade Concept is not just a new architectural design but a symbol of openness and the courage to change. We aim to create a collaborative campus space where students can grow, explore, and tackle global challenges while contributing to Indonesia,’ Edwind said.

As an official symbol of the Prasmul New Look launch, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted by the Board of Advisors committee members, including Franky Oesman Widjaya, Edwin Soeryadjaya, Jusuf Wanandi, Djisman Simandjuntak, Edwind A. Satyabrata, and Gandi Sulistiyanto Soeherman. The ceremony marked the start of a new chapter for Prasetiya Mulya University as a more innovative, adaptive, and globally connected higher education institution.

In addition to campus transformation, Prasetiya Mulya University strengthened its global network through partnerships with Universitas Indonesia, Peking University, and several international universities. These collaborations encompass academic development, joint research, student exchanges, and enhancing technology- and AI-driven educational innovation.

The event continued with a seminar titled ‘Rapid Strategic Adaptation Under the Explosive Growth of AI’, featuring Prof. Stella Christie, Muhamad Yopan, and Agung Alfiansyah. During the discussion, speakers highlighted the importance of educational institutions and industries becoming more agile in responding to rapid technological advancements affecting nearly all global sectors.
