Prasetyo Hadi: Nanik Sudaryati's Appointment to BGN Supervisory Board at President Prabowo's Request
State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has addressed speculation that Nanik Sudaryati will become a member of the Supervisory Board of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) following her resignation as head of the agency on Wednesday (22/7). Prasetyo did not deny the news. According to him, the report that Nanik would join the BGN Supervisory Board was a request from President Prabowo Subianto. “Yes, that was a request or an appeal from the President. Because her experience is considered still able to assist the BGN,” Prasetyo said after a meeting at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (24/7). However, Prasetyo noted that referring to Presidential Regulation 83 of 2024 concerning the BGN, there is no nomenclature for a Supervisory Board within the agency. The regulation only provides for a Board of Trustees. Therefore, if Nanik returns to the BGN, she would occupy that position. Nevertheless, he could not yet confirm whether Nanik would take up the post. “If indeed, based on the presidential regulation, the nomenclature in the organisational structure is the Board of Trustees, and if its duties align with what we intend, then there is no problem either,” he said. Nanik previously resigned as Head of the BGN, and her position has now been filled by Sudaryono, who previously served as Deputy Minister of Agriculture. Nanik had only held the position for a month. Prabowo inaugurated Nanik as Head of the BGN on 8 June 2026, replacing Dadan Hindayana, who had previously been dismissed by Prabowo. At that time, Dadan was implicated in alleged corruption related to the free nutritious meal programme and is now a suspect.
