Pramono's Working Visit to Four Countries, to Discuss Jakarta in Kyoto, Japan
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung is currently on a working visit to several countries in Asia. During the trip, Pramono is scheduled to be a speaker at an international forum.
“There are four countries he is visiting; the first is to China, then to Korea, and finally to Kyoto. He will be speaking in Kyoto, at the University of Kyoto, about Jakarta,” said Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno at Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday (21/4/2026).
Rano explained that the series of visits began in Taiwan before departing to Shenzhen, China. After that, Pramono continued his journey to Jeju, South Korea, and finally to Kyoto, Japan.
“The first visit is indeed to Taiwan, then to Shenzhen. Then to Korea, to Jeju. And finally to Kyoto,” he said.
Although he did not detail the topics discussed, Rano mentioned that Pramono’s presence at the international forum is related to Jakarta’s development towards becoming a global city.
Rano hopes that the visit will bring positive impacts for Jakarta, especially in strengthening the capital’s position as a global city in the eyes of the world. Pramono is scheduled to return to the homeland on 29 April 2026.
“Yes, hopefully it will bring good results,” he added.
