Pramono's Official Visit to Four Countries, Speaking at Kyoto University

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung began his official trip to four Asian countries on Tuesday (21 April 2026). The visit includes Taiwan, Shenzhen in China, Jeju in South Korea, and Kyoto in Japan, with one of the main agendas being to speak at Kyoto University. Deputy Governor of Jakarta Rano Karno said that the series of visits will last until the end of April 2026. Pramono is scheduled to return to Indonesia after all agendas are completed. Rano explained that one of Pramono’s main agendas is to be a speaker at Kyoto University. In that forum, Pramono will present material related to Jakarta. “He is a speaker in Kyoto, at the University of Kyoto about Jakarta. That’s why he is going. Hopefully, it will bring good results,” he said. He admitted that he does not yet know the details of the material to be presented in that forum. Further information, Rano said, will be provided later. The series of trips starts from Taiwan, followed by Shenzhen in China, then to Jeju, South Korea, before finally heading to Kyoto, Japan. “The first visit is to Taiwan, then to Shenzhen. Then to Korea, to Jeju. Then finally to Kyoto,” said Rano.
