Pramono Visits Setkab Office, Teddy Recalls Days as a File Courier

An emotional atmosphere marked the visit of Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung to the Cabinet Secretariat building on Monday. In an event attended by the extended family of the Cabinet Secretariat, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya delivered a speech recalling his career journey with Pramono Anung, moving his former superior to tears. Speaking before the staff, Teddy expressed the pride of the entire Cabinet Secretariat family at the presence of Pramono, who now serves as Governor of DKI Jakarta. He noted that many staff members had long wished to meet him. Teddy then reminisced about their first meeting around ten years ago, when he was a young officer tasked with delivering files within the Secretariat. He recalled that few people knew his name at the time, but Pramono always remembered it, regardless of his junior rank. Teddy shared a lasting piece of advice from Pramono, who once called him over and told him he was fortunate to be in such a position and should make the most of it by helping others, as earning the President’s trust was difficult. Pramono Anung appeared visibly moved by the speech. During his own remarks, he admitted he was surprised and said it was the first time he had cried in two years. He expressed deep gratitude for the warm reception and revealed that he had consistently advised the staff to give their full support to Teddy as Cabinet Secretary. Pramono stated he had never doubted Teddy’s ability, believing the President had chosen the right person for the role, and he hoped the Secretariat’s credibility would be maintained under Teddy’s leadership.
