Pramono Urges Team to Identify Creator of AI-Generated Photo in JAKI
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has instructed his team to identify the perpetrator who created and uploaded an artificial intelligence (AI)-generated photo in a report on handling illegal parking in the Jakarta Kini (JAKI) application.
“If we blame the PPSU, it won’t work; the PPSU definitely isn’t the one who did or manipulated the AI. What I request is to delve deeper and find out who did it and then uploaded it,” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday.
Even though the Kalisari sub-district head has apologised, the inspectorate must still investigate the case thoroughly. This is because Pramono does not want similar incidents to recur in the future.
Meanwhile, East Jakarta Mayor Munjirin stated that Kalisari sub-district head Siti Nurhasanah is currently undergoing a temporary deactivation process as a result of the Public Facilities and Infrastructure Handling (PPSU) case involving the upload of an AI-generated photo in a report on illegal parking in the JAKI application.
The temporary deactivation process is pending the results of the examination by the Inspectorate.
Munjirin explained that the decision was taken as part of efforts to maintain the integrity of public services, particularly in app-based reporting that serves as a public complaint channel.
He emphasised that all decisions will depend on the results of the ongoing inspectorate examination.
“How long the deactivation will last, we’ll see from the inspectorate’s examination results,” Munjirin said.
In addition to the sub-district head, the handling of the involved PPSU officer in the upload is also being processed.
Munjirin mentioned that follow-up actions against the PPSU will be based on the same examination results.
“The PPSU process will come from the sub-district head, based on the Inspectorate’s examination results, and then we’ll follow up accordingly,” Munjirin stated.
Currently, the relevant PPSU has been given an initial sanction in the form of a First Warning Letter as part of disciplinary guidance.
