Pramono conveyed this after inaugurating four subdistrict offices in Jakarta on Monday (4/5/2026). He stressed that subdistrict offices are not merely places for administrative matters but also the foremost line of defence in providing social services to the community.

“I have heard directly about various issues, from domestic violence, infidelity, divorces, and so on. These are the real conditions in society where the government must be present at the lowest level,” said Pramono at the Integrated Child-Friendly Public Space (RPTRA) Planet Senen, Central Jakarta.

According to him, subdistricts must open themselves as widely as possible to residents to voice complaints, provide input, and seek solutions to the problems they face. In this way, the government can be truly present in the daily lives of the people.

Pramono assessed that the presence of apparatus at the subdistrict level is very important in dampening social conflicts occurring in community environments. Quick responses and a humane approach are considered key in handling issues such as domestic violence.

“Subdistricts must become places for residents to lodge complaints. Not just administrative, but truly helping to resolve problems on the ground,” he stated.

He also reminded that the complexity of issues in Jakarta, with a population of nearly 11 million people, demands that the government works more adaptively. Various social problems, including domestic violence, need to be addressed with a more comprehensive approach.

On the same occasion, Pramono mentioned that the government continues to strengthen the role of community services at the grassroots level, including through facilities such as RPTRA and units for women’s and children’s protection services.

With these steps, he hopes that the social pressures experienced by the community can be reduced, while creating a safer and more comfortable environment for residents.

“Of course, the issues are various, but I am confident that the government’s presence in these matters will reduce stress or pressures in society,” he added.
