Pramono urges sub-districts to accommodate residents' complaints
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has urged sub-district offices not to limit themselves to administrative services but to open up widely to the public for voicing complaints, input, suggestions, and resolving on-the-ground issues.
“I am asking sub-district offices not only to be administrative in nature, but to open themselves as widely as possible to the community to convey complaints, input, suggestions, and to resolve field problems,” Pramono said in the Senen area, Central Jakarta, on Monday.
According to Pramono, the government must be present to assist the community down to the lowest level.
Not only administrative matters, but also handling domestic violence (KDRT), infidelity issues, divorce problems, and so on.
“That is the real condition in society, and of course the government must be present for such things at the lowest level,” Pramono explained.
He also hopes that services at the sub-district level can be improved because sub-districts are the spearhead of public services.
On the same occasion, the Head of the Provincial Agency for Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP) of DKI Jakarta, Dwi Oktavia, said that last year they received 2,600 complaints, including household disputes.
“If we look at the cases over a year, we received reports from various causes. Last year, there were around 2,600 complaints. But those are various complaints, including among them household disputes and so on. Hopefully, they do not increase,” Dwi said.
