Pramono to swear in 891 DKI civil servants, ensuring no prolonged acting posts
Pramono explained that the swearing-in was conducted to fill vacancies within the bureaucracy of the Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI). He then stated why he chose Wednesdays for the swearing-in ceremony.
“Firstly, the ceremony will take place this afternoon as usual on Wednesdays. Why Wednesdays? Because I deliberately schedule the swearing-in so that the civil servants who are sworn in travel to the venue by public transport in Betawi attire; ujung serong, encim, and so on,” Pramono said at Balai Kota Jakarta on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.
“Not only Echelon II, but more of Echelon III and IV are involved; there are 891 in total,” he added.
Pramono said the filling of posts is intended to ensure the machinery of the Jakarta Provincial Government operates optimally without vacancies.
“So I do indeed want all posts to avoid becoming idle or empty. Because an organisation is reflected in how well it runs, there should be no more PLT (acting posts),” he remarked.
According to Pramono, under his leadership at Balai Kota, vacant posts have been filled promptly so that there is no need for acting officials to hold the post for long.
“And under my leadership there have hardly been any PLT; whenever there is a vacancy, it is immediately filled,” he added.
As for why he chose Wednesday for the swearing-in of civil servants, it aligns with the habit of using public transport. He wants the civil servants who are sworn in to travel by public transport.
“Later this afternoon, as usual on Wednesdays, so that the civil servants who are sworn in travel by public transport,” he said.
