Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said he plans to inaugurate the An-Nur Floating Mosque in the Ancol area of North Jakarta tomorrow. He said the inauguration is part of his efforts to complete a number of unfinished projects in the capital.

Pramono made the remarks while addressing Jakarta tax contributors on Thursday (15 October 2026). He initially spoke about his commitment to finishing various works left incomplete by previous administrations.

“Some things from previous administrations remain unfinished, including tomorrow—well, I may as well let the journalists here in on it. I’m going to inaugurate the An-Nur Floating Mosque in Ancol,” Pramono said.

He said he wanted to ensure that various incomplete projects were brought to completion. In his view, solutions must be found to every challenge facing Jakarta’s development.

“I want things like that to be completed, whatever it takes,” he said.

As well as the An-Nur Floating Mosque, Pramono referred to the completion of several other projects in Jakarta, including removing the abandoned monorail pillars on Jalan HR Rasuna Said and improving access to Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

He said the removal of the monorail structure, which had been stalled for 21 years, was one way of resolving a long-standing problem in the capital.

Pramono also mentioned Sumber Waras Hospital, which he said had faced various difficulties. He hoped construction could begin soon and that the facility would eventually be developed into an international hospital.

“Thankfully, that has been resolved, and hopefully construction of Sumber Waras Hospital as an international hospital will begin soon,” he said.

Pramono stressed that completing these projects was part of the government’s responsibility to the public. He hoped the efforts would strengthen public confidence in the Jakarta Provincial Government.
