Pramono to inaugurate 891 civil servants within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government today

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo will inaugurate 891 civil servants (ASN) within the Jakarta Provincial Government on Wednesday. The officials to be sworn in range from Echelon 2, Echelon 3, to Echelon 4 within the Jakarta Provincial Government. “So there will be a swearing-in; the number is quite large. It’s not only Echelon 2, but more Echelon 3 and Echelon 4,” Pramono said at Balai Kota Jakarta on Wednesday. Pramono said the inauguration is deliberately held on Wednesday because it coincides with the policy requiring public transport use by ASN in Jakarta. In addition, the ASN being sworn in are asked to wear Betawi cultural attire. “Indeed, this afternoon as usual on Wednesday. Why Wednesday? Because I deliberately schedule the swearing-in on Wednesdays so that the sworn-in ASN use public transport and wear Betawi identity clothing, ujung serong, encim, and so forth,” he explained. According to Pramono, filling positions is done so that there are no vacancies or long-serving Acting positions (Plt) because the government organization will function better when all positions are filled by definitive officials. “I do want all positions not to be idle or vacant. Because the organization reflects how well it operates, there will be no more Plt (Acting Officials),” Pramono said. During his leadership, the Jakarta Provincial Government has sought to fill vacant positions promptly so the bureaucracy runs optimally. “During my leadership there have been almost no Plt; whenever there’s a vacancy it’s immediately filled,” he said.
