Pramono to immediately discuss DTKJ's Transjakarta fare proposal

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has stated that he will immediately discuss the Jakarta City Transport Council’s (DTKJ) proposal regarding Transjakarta and Transjabodetabek fares. He also mentioned that he will consider a proposed subscription scheme for Transjakarta at a rate of Rp200,000 per month. “The proposal from the transport council will certainly be reviewed immediately by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. I have received the proposal,” Pramono said in Central Jakarta on Tuesday. He noted that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will soon make a decision regarding the adjustment of Transjakarta and Transjabodetabek fares. Furthermore, Pramono will also decide on the fare for the Transjabodetabek route serving Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Blok M as quickly as possible. He stated that the fare for this airport route is currently still under discussion with the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD). “A decision must be made soon, especially for the Transjabodetabek route to the airport, which I promised would be announced within three months. It has now been more than three months,” Pramono said. The subscription scheme was proposed alongside a plan to adjust the regular Transjakarta fare to Rp5,000 for integrated BRT, non-BRT, and Mikrotrans services. Under this scheme, users would receive a cost reduction compared to the daily fare. The calculation for the subscription fare is based on the assumption that a user makes a return trip over 25 working days in a month. “So, if a worker commutes for 25 working days a month, the fare would be Rp5,000 for the outbound trip and Rp5,000 for the return trip, totalling Rp10,000 per day. Multiply that by 25 days, and you get Rp250,000,” explained Sugihardjo.
