Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung has reaffirmed the Provincial Government’s preparedness to implement the Work From Everywhere (WFE) and Work From Home (WFH) policies. This initiative represents a strategic step that fully adheres to the guidance and coordination from the central government.

“First, for work from everywhere or work from home, the DKI Jakarta Government will fully follow the central government’s directives,” Pramono stated in Central Jakarta on Friday (27/3/2026).

He stressed that the flexible work policy would not impede the functioning of government operations in Jakarta. According to him, Jakarta possesses adequate bureaucratic readiness and digital work infrastructure to adapt to the work patterns being prepared by the central government.

“Thus, for the DKI Jakarta Government, this is not a burden or difficulty,” Pramono asserted.

However, he added that the Provincial Government is currently awaiting technical regulations from the central government in the form of a Minister’s Regulation (Permen) as the basis for implementing the policy at the local level to ensure a strong legal foundation.

“Thus, we are waiting to see if the Permen will be issued soon for that regulation,” he said.

On the other hand, work flexibility is also seen as capable of maintaining the productivity of civil servants (ASN) amid the high dynamics of urban mobility. With reduced travel time on the roads during WFH, ASN are expected to work more focused and efficiently.

The DKI Provincial Government assures that it will promptly follow up on the policy once official regulations are issued. Adjustments to work mechanisms will be carried out in detail to ensure that every public service continues to operate effectively, transparently, and accountably for the residents of the Rupiah Currency. He emphasised that the policy does not pose a challenge for the DKI Provincial Government. According to him, Jakarta has bureaucratic readiness.

The policy is planned to take effect after Eid, with the Provincial Government ready to implement WFH one day per week to save fuel, pending the central government’s decision.
