Pramono to Draft Technical Regulations on 'Naming Rights', Opening Opportunities for Political Parties
Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, will prepare detailed regulations regarding the use of naming rights or naming rights, including opening opportunities for political parties (parpol). According to Pramono, the policy is part of efforts to make Jakarta a global and modern city that is open to various innovations.
“Naming rights will certainly be regulated in more detail and thoroughly later. But I do think that Jakarta, as a global city and modern city, must open itself to various things,” said Pramono at the Bina Marga Office, East Jakarta, on Tuesday (14/4/2026).
Although open to parpol, Pramono said the implementation of naming rights must still consider aspects of city aesthetics and comfort. His side will prepare technical regulations so that the policy is not applied arbitrarily.
“The most important thing is to maintain comfort, security, and beauty. Of course, the naming rights granted must not disrupt the city’s beauty,” he stated.
It is known that naming rights in Jakarta is a cooperation scheme in which the private sector (companies/brands) purchases the right to name a public asset, usually transportation facilities, public spaces, or infrastructure, for a certain period of time.
Several TransJakarta stops that now use naming rights from collaborations with certain brands include Halte Bundaran HI Astra, Senayan Bank DKI, Widya Chandra, and Swadarma Paragon Corp.
