Pramono to Decide New Ragunan Entrance Fee Soon

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said a decision on adjusting the entrance fee for Ragunan Zoo will be taken shortly. He noted that the Rp 10,000 fee for adult visitors remains a proposal at this stage.

“I will decide on the Ragunan ticket soon; it has indeed not yet been decided. But the Rp 10,000 proposal exists, and it will be decided shortly,” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Monday (7/9/2026).

Pramono had previously received a proposal to raise the Ragunan entrance fee. The proposal is one of the options for adjusting the entrance retribution fee for Ragunan Zoo.

The Jakarta Regional Legislative Council (DPRD DKI) has also previously expressed support for the planned fee adjustment. The proposed tariffs fall within a certain range, including the option of Rp 10,000 for adult visitors.

However, Pramono stressed that the Rp 10,000 figure is not yet the official tariff. He will decide on the final amount soon.

Earlier, DPRD DKI proposed adjusting the entrance retribution fee for Ragunan Zoo (TMR) in South Jakarta. The adult entrance fee was proposed to rise to a maximum of Rp 10,000.

Under the proposal, the adult tariff would range from Rp 4,000 to Rp 10,000, while children’s tickets would cost between Rp 3,000 and Rp 7,500. Dimaz Raditya, Chair of Commission C of DPRD DKI, said the tariff adjustment is needed so that Ragunan Zoo’s Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) can improve the quality of its public services.

“This idea has been around since last year and for quite a long time, but there has been no progress. That is why we are pushing for it to be accelerated,” Dimaz said in a statement on Friday (4/9).
