Pramono Thanks BTS ARMY for Bringing Economic Blessings to Jakarta

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung suddenly expressed his thanks to ARMY, the fanbase of the group BTS. The remark came after the promoter added an extra day to the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ concert in Jakarta due to high fan enthusiasm. Pramono revealed that the Jakarta Provincial Government had previously proposed Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) as the concert venue. However, he admitted that from the start, the majority of ARMY wanted the concert to be held at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK). ‘Even when I deliberately bid for the BTS event, I knew ARMY would choose GBK. I was just pretending to bid to promote this venue (Jakarta International Stadium). My child already told me, “Dad, just drop it, don’t get involved in BTS matters. All ARMY definitely want GBK,”’ Pramono said during the inauguration of JIS Station in Jakarta on Monday (22/6/2026). Despite this, Pramono stressed that the concert location is not an issue for the Jakarta Provincial Government. According to him, whether the concert is held at GBK or JIS, the economic benefits will still be felt by Jakarta. ‘And alhamdulillah, for the DKI Jakarta government, whether it’s at GBK or JIS, it’s the same. The important thing is that the tax revenue goes to Jakarta. Especially now that BTS has added an extra day. I thank the ARMY,’ he said. The long-awaited news for ARMY finally arrived after BIGHIT MUSIC officially added one extra day to the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ in Jakarta. The decision was made following high fan demand during the previous ticket sales. Through an announcement on the Weverse platform last Wednesday (17/6/2026), BIGHIT MUSIC stated that the additional schedule was granted thanks to the massive support from ARMY. ‘Thanks to the support of ARMY, we are holding one additional show in each city: JAKARTA & BULACAN for the BTS WORLD TOUR ’ARIRANG’,’ BIGHIT MUSIC wrote in the announcement. The additional Jakarta concert is scheduled to take place on 29 December 2026 at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium. Previously, tickets for the first show sold out in a short time, triggering a wave of requests from fans for BTS to add more performance dates in Indonesia.
