Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has expressed his appreciation to the Attorney General’s Office and the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office for assisting the Jakarta Provincial Government in resolving a number of projects that had been abandoned for years. According to him, this synergy has enabled various previously intractable issues to finally be settled. Pramono conveyed this while attending the inauguration of the new North Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office building with Attorney General ST Burhanuddin in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, on Tuesday (30/6/2026). “This office demonstrates the good collaboration within the Jakarta Regional Leadership Coordination Forum. I am not specifically discussing the office, but I actually want to thank you, Mr Attorney General and your staff. The Jakarta Provincial Government has been greatly assisted and supported by the Head of the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office and his team in many ways,” said Pramono. Pramono then cited the redevelopment of the former monorail project area on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, which had been abandoned for 21 years. According to him, the project has now been successfully completed and has become one of Jakarta’s new landmarks. “In the past, Jakarta had many unresolved problems. One of them was the monorail on Rasuna Said, which consisted of 109 piles stretching 3.8 kilometres. Alhamdulillah, Jalan Rasuna Said has now been successfully completed and has become one of Jakarta’s landmarks appreciated by the public,” he stated. Besides the monorail project, Pramono said the Sumber Waras Hospital issue, which had been ongoing for about 14 years, has also been resolved. He mentioned that construction of the hospital will commence soon. “Alhamdulillah, the Sumber Waras Hospital, which was unresolved for approximately 14 years, has finally been settled. Hopefully, a groundbreaking will be conducted this August, as this will become an international hospital,” he said. Pramono also revealed that the construction of the Jakarta LRT line from Velodrome to Manggarai, which had previously stalled, has now been completed and will soon be inaugurated. The Jakarta Provincial Government, he added, has also decided to continue the construction of the line to Dukuh Atas. “Hopefully, this LRT will be inaugurated in August. It is 12.5 kilometres long with 11 stations from Velodrome to Manggarai. We have decided, with the central government’s permission, to continue from Manggarai to Dukuh Atas,” he stated. Pramono emphasised that the completion of these various projects was inseparable from the support of the Prosecutor’s Office, which provided assistance to the Jakarta Provincial Government. “Therefore, Mr Attorney General, I would like to specifically thank you because the good coordination and cooperation with your staff have resolved issues that were previously untouchable and unresolved, especially the one on Rasuna Said,” he concluded.
