Pramono: Temporary LRT Manggarai-Kelapa Gading fare set at Rp5,000

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has stated that the LRT Jakarta Manggarai-Kelapa Gading route will use a flat fare of Rp5,000 until October.

The statement was made by Pramono during an inspection of LRT Jakarta’s readiness for inauguration on Monday (24/8) at LRT Jakarta Manggarai.

“So, for the time being until October, the fare will still use the current flat rate of Rp5,000 per journey, flat,” said Pramono.

Furthermore, he is targeting the permanent fare to be decided in October.

“There is a possibility that the figure will be something of a gift, but we will decide later. However, what is clear is that for the time being the flat rate of Rp5,000 will be used. Hopefully by October a decision can be made on the fare that will apply to LRT Jakarta as a whole, which we will regulate together,” he explained.

In the same agenda, Pramono reported that the construction of the LRT track and elevated line has reached 100 percent completion. However, the final stage is currently underway, namely testing by the Ministry of Transportation.

The LRT Jakarta is targeted to be inaugurated on 26 August 2026 by President Prabowo Subianto. However, Pramono explained that the timing of the inauguration will depend on Prabowo’s availability.

“The timing will of course follow President Prabowo Subianto’s schedule, whether morning, afternoon, or another day, because he is currently handling matters related to forest fires and the earthquake in NTT,” Pramono noted.

Once inaugurated, the LRT will be able to operate fully immediately. The LRT’s operational hours are reported to be the same as the KRL schedule, from 05.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB.
