Pramono Targets Completion of Manggarai-Dukuh Atas LRT by 2028

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung is targeting the completion of the LRT Jakarta Phase 1C, which integrates Manggarai Station with Dukuh Atas, by 2028. He stated that once this route is finished, the entire network will be fully connected. ‘I have asked the Assistant for Economic Affairs to ensure the construction from Manggarai to Dukuh Atas is completed by 2028,’ Pramono said during an inspection of the new LRT route’s progress at Rawamangun LRT Station in East Jakarta on Tuesday, 14 July 2026. The Manggarai-Dukuh Atas Phase 1C route is an extension of Phase 1B, which runs from Kelapa Gading to Manggarai. The line is estimated to be 2.1 kilometres long. Pramono explained that the connectivity between the two stations requires a budget of Rp2.7 trillion, which will be sourced from the DKI Jakarta Regional Budget (APBD). He noted that once the route is operational in 2028, it will significantly cut travel times for the public. ‘We can imagine, friends from Pondok Labu wanting to eat in Kelapa Gading, the journey would take under an hour,’ he said, adding that commuters could switch from the MRT to the LRT. On the same occasion, PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) President Director Iwan Takwin stated that construction of the Phase 1C Manggarai-Dukuh Atas route will commence in early 2027. ‘The studies are underway, including the technical study,’ Iwan said during the inspection of the LRT Jakarta Phase 1B project. He added that this is a requirement for issuing the route recommendation, ‘So we are pursuing it this year, and construction will begin early next year.’ Iwan confirmed that 2028 is the completion target for the LRT Jakarta Phase 1C Manggarai-Dukuh Atas route.
