Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo said that stable prices for sacrificial animals are one of the triggers for several regions outside the capital to buy those animals in Jakarta. According to Pramono, this demonstrates that regional state-owned enterprises (BUMD) have prepared sacrificial animals well. “Several regions have ultimately sourced their sacrificial animals from Jakarta. This shows that the BUMD responsible for this, one of which is Dharma Jaya, have prepared well,” Pramono said at the Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday. To date, he said, the prices of sacrificial animals in Jakarta have not risen and are relatively stable. “The number of sacrificial animals, whether cows, goats and so on, is now fully available in Jakarta,” Pramono explained. Earlier, the Perusahaan Umum Daerah (Perumda) Dharma Jaya formally set a target to supply sacrificial animals of 900 cows to meet the needs of Jakarta residents in readiness for Hari Raya Idul Adha 1447 Hijriah. Chief Executive Officer of Perumda Dharma Jaya, Raditya Endra Budiman, stated that all sacrificial animals provided have undergone strict selection procedures and health checks. As part of service standardisation, Raditya said they have also deployed 100 professional personnel, including certified Juru Sembelih Halal (Juleha) and a packaging team. In addition, Dharma Jaya also offers comprehensive management of sacrificial meat, ranging from slaughter, carcass separation, to customised packaging in kilogram measures to facilitate distribution for the public.
