Pramono Sets Economic Growth Target in DKI's 2026 TPAKD Programme
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has set the regional economic growth target as part of the 2026 Local Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) Work Programme for DKI Jakarta Province during a plenary meeting at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday.
In his remarks, Pramono stressed that all 2026 TPAKD programmes must contribute to achieving Jakarta’s macroeconomic development targets, particularly reducing the poverty rate, lowering the Gini ratio, and increasing economic growth.
“In the current economic conditions, we must optimise all potentials that can drive the economy,” Pramono said at City Hall in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The work programme encompasses nine main agendas designed as strategic instruments to promote economic growth, reduce poverty levels, and strengthen Jakarta’s position as an inclusive global city.
Pramono added that in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita programme, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government emphasises the importance of creating quality jobs, strengthening the creative industry, and developing a people’s economy that benefits society broadly.
On that occasion, Pramono also highlighted two important agendas that need to be integrated into the TPAKD programme.
First, waste management through a financial incentive scheme for hotels, restaurants, cafes, and households that manage waste effectively.
Second, utilising the momentum of the significant decline in the number of slum neighbourhoods (RW) through community empowerment.
“The number of slum RW in Jakarta has decreased significantly from 2017 to 2025. This momentum needs to be supported by TPAKD through community empowerment, particularly PKK cadres, Jumantik, Dasawisma, and other women’s groups,” Pramono stated.
Pramono also emphasised the importance of strengthening the BPJS Health contribution assistance programme for non-wage workers, as well as support for UMKM to advance through access to credit, financing, and payment system digitalisation.
“UMKM must also be a primary focus, especially UMKM actors in people’s markets and the informal sector,” he asserted.
In addition, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Jakarta’s development as a Cinema City and the national creative industry centre.
Therefore, TPAKD is urged to continue innovating and strengthening field monitoring to ensure all programmes run on target and have a real impact on society.
Strengthening the role of regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) and developing the Jakarta Entrepreneur programme are also key components in enhancing UMKM competitiveness and strengthening Jakarta’s economic foundation towards an inclusive and sustainable global city.
