Pramono Says Nearly All Positions in Jakarta Provincial Government Now Filled
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo stated that nearly all positions within the Jakarta Provincial Government have now been filled, as part of an effort to strengthen the organisation and ensure the smooth delivery of public services. “For Jakarta, we are filling these positions immediately to avoid any vacancies, because I adhere to the principle that it is better to fill them quickly and make revisions if there are mistakes,” Pramono said after inaugurating functional officials at City Hall on Wednesday.
He said the acceleration of appointments is intended to allow every regional apparatus to carry out its duties and functions optimally, without being hindered by vacant strategic posts. The man known as Pram also expressed his appreciation to the Jakarta Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) for expediting the process so that organisational needs could be met promptly. “I would like to specifically thank them for their hard work, as almost all positions have been fully filled,” Pramono stated.
Pram also emphasised that evaluations of officials will continue to be conducted if necessary. He noted that the accelerated appointments do not eliminate the mechanisms for civil servant guidance or performance assessment. “I want to leave a few simple messages. One, work diligently. Two, safeguard the trust given to you. Three, I am confident that you can all give your best,” he said.
Governor Pramono Anung has inaugurated a total of 239 functional officials across 19 regional apparatuses within the Jakarta Provincial Government, covering 24 different types of positions. Of these, 150 are functional teacher positions at various educational levels. The inauguration is part of efforts to strengthen the capacity of the civil service and support the improvement of public service quality in Jakarta.
