Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has stated that the implementation of the New Student Admission System (SPMB) for the 2026/2027 academic year in Jakarta is running smoothly. According to him, complaints from the public regarding the new student admission process have been very minimal so far.

“Alhamdulillah, up to now, there have been relatively few complaints or objections from the public, very few,” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Monday (13/7/2026).

Pramono said the Jakarta SPMB system operates in an open and transparent manner. He confirmed that he had received a report from the Head of the Jakarta Education Agency regarding the implementation of the new student admissions.

“And I received a report from the Head of the Education Agency that because the system is transparent and open, it is running relatively well. There are practically no complaints about it,” he stated.

On the same occasion, Pramono also addressed the free private school programme in Jakarta. When asked about the possibility of adding more private schools to the programme, he confirmed that the number would increase.

“We will discuss this further with the Jakarta Regional House of Representatives. Currently, there are 103 schools, and there will definitely be an increase,” he added.
