Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has stated that the implementation of the odd-even traffic restriction system on several Jakarta roads is currently under review. This includes the odd-even restrictions on Jalan Gajah Mada and Jalan Hayam Wuruk.

“Regarding the odd-even policy, several road segments that have been affected by both the restrictions and MRT construction are being reviewed by the Jakarta Provincial Government in conjunction with the Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD),” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Thursday (1/10/2026).

According to Pramono, several road segments are currently experiencing impacts on residents’ economic activities due to the implementation of this policy. He cited Jalan Gajah Mada and Jalan Hayam Wuruk as specific examples.

“Because certain segments are indeed affected, such as Jalan Gajah Mada, Hayam Wuruk, and so on. We are currently reviewing this to reach a decision soon,” he added.

Previously, the Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub), Budi Awaluddin, stated that an evaluation is necessary to reassess the effectiveness of the odd-even system. One aspect to be examined is whether the routes or road segments currently under the policy remain relevant.

“It has been 10 years; we need to evaluate it,” Budi said at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (30/9).

He noted that the evaluation would not only look at the impact of the odd-even policy on traffic flow. The Jakarta Provincial Government will also examine the policy’s impact on community activities and the economy.

“This includes reassessing the routes themselves,” he concluded.
