Pramono Requests that Migrants to Jakarta Possess Relevant Skills

Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, has requested that migrants intending to seek their fortune in Jakarta possess skills in their respective fields of work. This is because Jakarta will not implement the Yustisi operation this year. Migrants will also be required to complete their personal administrative documents, such as ID cards and family cards. “I convey that Jakarta has no Yustisi operation, but we request that anyone who wants to work in Jakarta certainly completes all administrative requirements, and then works according to their capabilities,” he stated at the DKI Jakarta City Hall in Central Jakarta on Saturday (21/3). The PDIP politician acknowledged that there will be a surge of new migrants in Jakarta after the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday period. “Indeed, at this time we also suspect that there will certainly be a surge of people seeking work in Jakarta,” Pramono said. On one hand, he stated that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared strategies to keep tourist spots in the capital conducive during the influx of tourists. The DKI Provincial Government is said to have coordinated with the DKI Satpol PP and tourist site managers. Pramono mentioned that people and tourists visiting Jakarta now do not only visit existing tourist spots like the Monas area, Ragunan Zoo, and Ancol, but also newly established parks. “Now, what’s popular is people coming to the new parks. Including Taman Bendera Pusaka, which turns out to be very popular with residents,” he said. “Because it’s free and the facilities are complete,” Pramono added. For information, the DKI Provincial Government predicts the number of migrants post-Lebaran in 2026 to be in the range of 10,000 to 12,000 people, lower than in previous years. This decline is influenced by the trend of economic distribution in various regions.
