Pramono readies creative financing for ex-BPSDM office land
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has stated that his administration will prepare a creative financing scheme for the development of the former Badan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (BPSDM) office land. As a result, all investment requirements will be borne by private partners, ensuring no burden on the DKI Jakarta Regional Budget (APBD). “We will not use APBD funds to develop this area. We will open cooperation with the private sector to build and manage it,” said Pramono in Jakarta on Thursday. He noted that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s asset is highly strategic as it lies within Jakarta’s golden triangle, situated between Jalan HR Rasuna Said and Jalan Casablanca, surrounded by business centres, offices, embassies, shopping centres, and residential areas. The investment value of the project is estimated to reach Rp1.53 trillion, with a cooperation period of 30 years that may be extended according to regulations. Construction is projected to last three years and is targeted to commence in early 2027. “As soon as this plan became known, there were already seven interested parties expressing a desire to develop this area,” Pramono revealed. He stressed that the partner selection process will be conducted openly, transparently, and professionally. From the outset, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will seek assistance from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Attorney General’s Office to ensure the asset utilisation process complies with regulations. Furthermore, he mentioned that the former BPSDM land will be developed into the Jakarta International Cultural Hub, an integrated area combining cultural, entertainment, and meeting, incentive, convention, and exhibition (MICE) functions, along with a hotel, serviced apartments, offices, and public spaces.
