Pramono Promises Pasar Minggu Through Road Project Completion by Early 2027
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo is targeting the completion of a road construction project parallel to the railway tracks in the Pasar Minggu area, South Jakarta, by early 2027. The 2-kilometre through road, which was initiated during the era of former Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, has yet to be completed.
Pramono stated that the project is currently in the land acquisition phase, with some areas that have already been cleared now undergoing cleaning and preparation for construction. He has instructed that the road improvements must be finished by early next year at the latest.
He emphasised that the road plays a vital role in reducing traffic congestion in the Pasar Minggu area. Pramono expressed hope that the completion of this project would help significantly ease one of the main traffic bottlenecks in South Jakarta.
