Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung will continue the project to extend the Jakarta LRT route from Kelapa Gading–Manggarai to Dukuh Atas. The total investment value to be prepared by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government for the construction of the Manggarai–Dukuh Atas LRT is Rp2.7 trillion.

“It turns out there must be investment for the train sets, numbering approximately 16, bringing the total to Rp2.7 trillion,” Pramono said in his statement on Monday (24/8/2026).

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has submitted a proposal for the issuance of regional bonds to the DKI Jakarta DPRD to fund the continuation of the Jakarta LRT project to Dukuh Atas, as well as the construction of an international hospital on the former Sumber Waras site.

In addition, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will also develop LRT connectivity from Velodrome to Whoosh Station and from Kelapa Gading to Jakarta International Stadium.

If all these routes are completed, Pramono believes the Jakarta LRT will become the main transport backbone of Jakarta, covering East Jakarta, North Jakarta, South Jakarta and Central Jakarta.

“And if that is connected, hopefully transportation in Jakarta will become much better,” he said.

Jakarta LRT Phase 1C Manggarai–Dukuh Atas has a length of approximately 2.4 kilometres. The line will bring Jakarta LRT services to Dukuh Atas, which is one of the strategic transport areas in the heart of the capital.

Dukuh Atas itself is a central integration and transit point for various modes of transport in Jakarta. The area hosts a number of transport services, including MRT Jakarta, Airport Rail Link, KRL Commuter Line, LRT Jabodebek and TransJakarta.

Dukuh Atas will also be connected to the Transport Hub managed by PT MRT Jakarta. As such, the presence of the Jakarta LRT in the area will expand intermodal connectivity for the public.

Based on information on the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government investment website, the Jakarta LRT Phase 1C Manggarai–Dukuh Atas project is estimated to have an average ridership of 20,554 passengers. The project requires an investment value of approximately Rp2.9 trillion.

In terms of investment feasibility, the project is estimated to have an investment rate of return of 12.3%, a weighted average cost of capital (WACC) of 12.3%, and a payback period of 17 years.
