Pramono Prepares HR Rasuna Said Road as New CFD Location

Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, plans to add a new location for Car Free Day (CFD) in the capital. In addition to the usual Sudirman-Thamrin area, HR Rasuna Said Road in South Jakarta is now being prepared as a new site. The plan to turn Rasuna Said into a CFD location will be announced alongside two important events by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. “So tomorrow, the 10th, we will start implementing the Governor’s Regulation that I signed for waste sorting and at the same time the proclamation of the 499th anniversary, held at Rasuna Said, also marking that Rasuna Said will be prepared to become a Car Free Day like Sudirman-Thamrin,” said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (6/4). The addition of the CFD location aims to provide more space for sports and recreation for the community. With the opening of Rasuna Said, it is hoped that residents will no longer crowd only in the Sudirman-Thamrin area on weekends. “So the people of Jakarta will have many choices,” Pramono stated. Pramono plans to change the implementation schedule so that residents can exercise more optimally and lead a healthy lifestyle. “Including the timing, I will announce changes to the Car Free Day hours and hopefully the people of Jakarta will become even healthier,” said Pramono.
