Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has confirmed that the work-from-home (WFH) policy for civil servants (ASN) will take effect this Friday. Pramono emphasised that the Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared a special monitoring system to ensure productivity remains maintained even when employees work from home.

“I have signed the Governor’s Circular for this WFH. Each Regional Work Unit (OPD) can implement WFH for 25 to 50 percent of its employees. And we will monitor them with a system that is currently being developed,” said Pramono during a doorstop at City Hall on Tuesday (7/4/2026).

He stressed that WFH supervision must not be lax. According to him, the technology being prepared by the Provincial Government will ensure that ASN remain productive even if not working from the office.

“Productivity must be well maintained,” he stated.

It is known that Pramono has signed Circular Letter (SE) Number 3/SE/2026 regarding the implementation of remote working rules or Work From Home (WFH) every Friday.

The circular specifies that the proportion of ASN employees who can carry out WFH is at least 25 percent or at most 50 percent of the number of ASN employees in the smallest subfield/subsection/section/subgroup/work unit, done selectively considering the characteristics of tasks and types of work in each work unit.

The circular also states that employees eligible for WFH must meet criteria, namely not currently undergoing or in the process of disciplinary punishment, and/or having more than two years of service.

Employees conducting WFH are required to report attendance online through the mobile attendance application twice, namely from 06.00-08.00 WIB and 16.00-18.00 WIB.

ASN who do not comply with the applicable regulations will be subject to sanctions in the form of not being allowed to perform WFH and/or disciplinary sanctions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

In addition, the SE will be evaluated periodically every two months and can be adjusted at any time according to needs and/or applicable laws and regulations.
