Pramono Predicts Number of New Arrivals to Jakarta to Reach 12,000 People
Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung Wibowo, predicts that the number of arrivals post-Eid will be around 10,000 to 12,000 people. “So, based on the data available up to today, we estimate there will be an increase in returnees joining their families back to Jakarta of approximately 10,000 to 12,000,” Pramono explained in Central Jakarta on Friday (27/3). Nevertheless, Pramono stated that this data is not yet final. His side will continue to monitor developments in the data. Despite this, Pramono said that based on the available data, it can be concluded that the number of arrivals in Jakarta is 10,000 to 12,000 people. “Why can this be concluded? From trends in people booking vehicles or those travelling with their families and so on,” Pramono said. He also reminded arrivals who wish to seek their fortune in the capital to prepare themselves well and have work skills. “Jakarta does not have Operation Yustisia, but Jakarta certainly asks anyone who wants to seek a living working in Jakarta to prepare themselves,” Pramono stated. Meanwhile, the number of arrivals on 25-26 March 2026 was 365 people, consisting of 186 males and 179 females.
