Pramono Predicts 12,000 New Arrivals Entering Jakarta After 2026 Eid Return

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung predicts that the number of new arrivals entering the capital during the 2026 Eid return flow could reach 10,000 to 12,000 people. This figure is estimated to come from returnees bringing relatives or family members to seek employment. “So based on the data available up to today, we predict an increase of approximately 10,000 to 12,000 people returning with their relatives to Jakarta,” Pramono said at Halte Tosari in Central Jakarta on Friday (27/3/2026). Pramono stressed that this number is still provisional and not final. “But this is not final yet; we will see the available data later,” he said. He also reminded prospective migrants seeking their fortune in Jakarta to prepare themselves thoroughly. Although there is no justice operation, individual preparedness remains crucial. “Jakarta does not have a justice operation, but Jakarta certainly asks anyone who wants to seek their fortune working in Jakarta to prepare themselves,” he stated. The breakdown consists of 186 men and 179 women.
