Pramono Praises Prabowo Era as Jakarta Investment Grows Rapidly

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has revealed that Jakarta’s economy is showing strong growth during the leadership era of President Prabowo Subianto. This is reflected in investment realisation, which has increased several times over within the last two years.

“What is also encouraging is that back in 2021, for the full year, Jakarta’s investment was Rp 103 trillion. In these two years, under your leadership, Jakarta has grown by 162 per cent. In 2025, investment in Jakarta reached Rp 270 trillion. Even in the second quarter of this year, investment in Jakarta stood at Rp 173 trillion,” Pramono stated during his speech at the inauguration of the Jakarta LRT at Manggarai Station, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (16/09/2026).

Based on this data, Pramono noted that Jakarta’s economy is growing well. He assessed that such an increase could not occur without a sense of security, comfort, and the trust of investors from all regions in Jakarta.

During the event, Pramono also reported to President Prabowo that Jakarta’s economic growth this quarter reached 5.52 per cent, with inflation at 2.5 per cent. “And Jakarta contributes 16.32 per cent to our national economy,” said the former Cabinet Secretary.

As Jakarta approaches its five-hundredth anniversary, Pramono pledged to continue strengthening Jakarta’s transformation into a competitive global city. This includes building a better, more integrated transport system to enhance productivity and economic prosperity for the city.
