Pramono Praises Prabowo
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has revealed that Jakarta’s economy is showing strong growth under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, as reflected in the increase in investment realisation.
“What is also encouraging is that back in 2021, for the full year, Jakarta’s investment was Rp103 trillion. Within these two years, under your leadership, Jakarta has grown by 162%. In 2025, investment in Jakarta reached Rp270 trillion. Even in the second quarter of this year, investment in Jakarta stood at Rp173 trillion,” Pramono stated during his speech at the inauguration of the Jakarta LRT at Manggarai Station on Wednesday.
This indicates that the economy in Jakarta is growing well. He assessed that such an increase could not occur without a sense of security, comfort, and the confidence of investors from all regions regarding Jakarta.
During the event, Pramono also reported to President Prabowo that Jakarta’s economic growth this quarter reached 5.52% with inflation at 2.5%.
“And Jakarta contributes 16.32% to our national economy,” Pramono added.
As Jakarta approaches its five-hundredth anniversary, the administration will continue to strengthen Jakarta’s transformation into a competitive global city. One way to achieve this, Pramono continued, is by building a better, more integrated transportation system to boost productivity and the economy in Jakarta.
In addition to urban greening, President Prabowo also aims to resolve waste management issues to realise a safe, healthy, clean, and beautiful Indonesia. The President stated that differences in political party backgrounds do not prevent him from showing appreciation to regional heads who demonstrate good performance.
President Prabowo officially inaugurated the Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading-Manggarai route. The Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared Rp2.7 trillion for the project’s continuation to Dukuh Atas by 2027.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has set a flat fare of Rp5,000 for the Jakarta LRT following its trial period. A final tariff evaluation is scheduled for October 2026.
The Jakarta Provincial Government has implemented a special fare of Rp8,000 for the Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading-Manggarai route during an eight-day socialisation period.
